Electric Golf Carts
Advantages:
- Less expensive because batteries are rechargeable
- Operates silently and drives fast and smoothly
- They perform the same even in colder seasons
- Environment-friendly
- Does not need too much maintenance
Disadvantages:
- Battery charging is part of the regular routine before playing golf
- Limited power with engines having only 5 horsepower
- Not ideal for long days of golfing because batteries need to be charged
- Replacing batteries every two or three years is a must, which can cost you around $600
- Battery terminals need a regular care to avoid corrosion
- Can only travel up to 12 miles
- Not as powerful as gas golf carts when running up steep hills
